Images in the “Atmospheres” series depict horizon like lines and tangible, visual distances with a tranquil, Eastern sensibility. I’m working to capture an experience much larger than the canvas; describing just enough to give the viewer a point of departure.

These images are being developed from patterns and textures found in everyday life, from both man-made objects/architecture and nature. You might imagine the shadows of tree leaves on an aged brick sidewalk as an accurate starting point. More to come on this series, I have posted some of the first pieces on the site...
